Private roundtable: The role of medicines in the 10-year health plan
About Private roundtable: The role of medicines in the 10-year health plan
IPPR’s Commission on Health and Prosperity set out to test a core hypothesis that a healthier country is a more prosperous one. We have shown that good health is good for individual earnings, the UK labour market, for growth, productivity and business bottom-lines.
This creates an opportunity for bolder reform and more investment in health – from healthcare, to innovation, to prevention, to public health. However, we recognise reform is difficult, even institutionally resisted, in the health space. That’s why we’ve set up the Centre for Health and Prosperity – to translate the government’s health and prosperity vision into reality over the next five years.
This event will be an important part of that process. We are delighted to be joined by Adam Memon, Director of Strategy at NHS England and Cathy Morgan, Director of Strategy for Public Health England to discuss how medicines fit in the 10 Year Health Plan -set to be the most important health policy document of the decade. Specifically, we will explore how deployment of medicines fits into the Secretary of State’s three shifts: to prevention, to digital and to community.
Please note this event is by invitation-only.
