IPPR responds to the Casey review

Phoebe Griffith, IPPR Associate Director for Migration, Integration and Communities, responding to the publication of Louise Casey's review, said:
“Louise Casey has put the issue of integration firmly on the table. But this is only the first step. Now the Government needs to develop a constructive agenda. Firstly, immigration rules which currently work against integration need to be reformed. Second, we need a far better understanding of what works. Rather than focusing on anachronistic oaths, we should look at how we support the business of integration out in the real world. Otherwise this will amount to little more than another polemic at the expense of British Muslims.”
