About Development Now: In conversation with Rachel Kyte and Professor Avinash Persaud

IPPR's International Policy programme and Chatham House's UK in the World programme are delighted to be partnering on a series of joint speaker discussions on ‘Development Now’, an informal series focusing on where the UK should take its development policy.

In this joint series, IPPR and Chatham House will convene experts and decision-makers to review how development has – and is – changing, what a meaningful offer to the Global South would look like now, and what the UK’s role, tools and interests are in this. The purpose of these talks is to look forward and out, beyond previous approaches and policy solutions.

On Wednesday 27th November, we were delighted to be joined by Rachel Kyte, newly-appointed Special Representative for Climate at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Professor Avinash Persaud, Special Advisor for Climate Change to the President of the Inter-American Development Bank.
