Jodie Reed

Jodie is an expert in public service reform and brings deep knowledge of early childhood, education, prevention and families policy.
Jodie worked for IPPR from 2002 to 2006 as a Senior Research Fellow on education and leading the influential programme of work on social mobility before joining the Department for Education strategy unit. Over a decade spent in the civil service, she led work on gap narrowing, was embedded with Prime Minister's Strategy Unit and worked on childcare delivery as Assistant Director and acting head of childcare division. Later she also led the Academies Operational Strategy Unit.
Jodie left government on secondment to initiate a new early years venture for Ark Schools, the multi-academy educational charity - Ark Start - before becoming a freelance consultant. She is currently a Partner at Isos Partnership, a small research and advisory company which supports central government, local authorities and third sector organizations to deliver better outcomes for children and young people. Her focus there is early childhood and prevention. Outside work, she is a school governor and Trustee and the national charity Young Women's Trust.
