Rachael Henry
Head of advocacyRachael joined IPPR in 2024 as the head of advocacy.
Rachael is head of advocacy at IPPR, where she is devising IPPR’s political strategy and stakeholder engagement work. Influencing policy and decision makers in government and political parties, as well as shaping the opinions and actions of those around politics, such as journalists and business leaders, is integral to IPPR’s advocacy work.
Rachael previously worked as head of advocacy and policy at Tax Justice UK, building relationships with politicians, external influencers and the media. Prior to that she managed the public affairs and campaigns teams at The Children’s Society, working on child poverty campaigns and a government review of children’s social care. Prior to this she was in UNISON’s Campaigns team for six years, and she also brings experience from working in development in Uganda for two years.
Rachael has a master's degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, and a politics and philosophy bachelor's from the University of Manchester.
